To say that I’d been looking forward to Anne and Tim’s engagement session at Whytecliff Park would be a total understatement. I’ve been excited to hang out with these two again after we initially met in November to chat about their amazing forest wedding at Zajac Ranch. They’re both so kind and genuine, it was such a pleasure chatting and getting to know them a little better. I was thrilled they chose Whytecliff Park for their engagement photos as it’s quickly become one of my favorite places, I simply cannot get enough of the beautiful coastline and spectacular views!
Despite all our planning, the weather on the day of our session was some of the craziest I’ve experienced. Rain, hail, thunder, lightning…you name it, it happened that day. Despite the frightening weather we decided to go ahead as planned with the shoot and somehow, through sheer luck, we were rewarded with the only patch of sun in the entire Lower Mainland and a completely deserted beach. Anne and Tim brought along their adorable puppy Allie and their dear friend Sylvie who was so kind to keep Allie occupied while not in front of the camera. We had such a great evening together, these two are so adventurous and happy to do anything I suggested, even offering to scale a rock face and stand on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean, to get the perfect photos. These two couldn’t be more beautiful in front of the camera, their smiles are infectious and their love is easy to see. I’m beyond excited to photograph their beautiful wedding this September at Zajac Ranch planned by my dear and incredibly talented friend Stephanie, of Sweetheart Events!
