A wedding at the Brock House in Point Grey can be summed up in one word: perfection. It’s always an incredible honour to shoot at the Brock House, it’s one of my favourite wedding venues in Vancouver and it’s easy to see why. Situated directly on Jericho Beach, overlooking the Pacific Ocean with stunning views of the North Shore Mountains, it’s the perfect location to get married and celebrate with family and friends. This early fall wedding last year, with one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, was no exception. Choosing the most spectacular location for their ceremony, framed perfectly by two massive maple trees with the ocean in the background, they said I do in front of an intimate gathering of close friends and family. No detail was forgotten, from the beautiful draped ceremony arch adorned with silver dollar eucalyptus to the absolutely stunning florals overflowing with cafe au lait dahlias and garden roses. Touching speeches, beautiful stories and plenty of tears followed as guests enjoyed an intimate reception under the gorgeous tent on the back lawn. This wedding was truly magical and one I won’t soon forget.
“To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.” – David Viscott
Beautiful sunshine and gorgeous coastal views perfectly describe Chelsea and Eric’s spring engagement photos at Whytecliff Park in West Van. My love for the ocean runs deep so I was happy to be able to share one of the most beautiful locations in all of Vancouver with them last week! We spent time wandering along the beach, taking in the stunning views and capturing these two, who couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Not only do they have impeccable style, they’re sweet and genuine, which makes spending time with them an absolute joy. Chelsea wore the most beautiful flowy maxi dress which floated gently in the breeze and added to the coastal, carefree vibe of their engagement photos. Their engagement session is one of my all time favourites and gazing at these photos, I’m more excited then ever to photograph their wedding this August at the Hart House!
“I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.”
Sunny weather, spring blossoms and the beach sum up a few of my favourite things, which Morgan and Aleem’s engagement session at Jericho had no shortage of. Jericho Beach in Vancouver is one of my favourite locations to photograph engagements and weddings; it’s absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look and you really can’t beat the variety of photos from the park to the beach. I met Morgan and Aleem on a beautiful sunny evening, we had a great time wandering the park documenting this amazing time leading up to their summer wedding. We finished the session on the beach with Morgan’s toes in the sand and a beautiful sunset; those carefree photos are a few of my many favourites from their engagement. I’m already counting down to their wedding at the Shaughnessy Restaurant at VanDusen Garden this summer!
