“Ever thine. Ever mine. Ever ours.”

Nina and Scott’s beautiful garden themed wedding took place on one of the hottest days of the year, despite the heat, it was and absolutely stunning day I won’t soon forget. Scott and Nina’s gorgeous summer wedding was recently featured on Real Weddings; the day was a perfect reflection of these two including many Peruvian touches in honour of Nina and her family. Leading up to their wedding, we spent a gorgeous evening at Whytecliff Park photographing their engagement session and getting excited for their upcoming wedding. I knew their wedding would be nothing short of incredible; no detail was too small, no special traditions were overlooked. Nina wore a stunning Truvelle wedding dress and veil accented with a number of beautiful pieces from Truvelle’s collaboration with jeweler Catherine Hartley. The garden theme was brought to life by the talented Blossom & Vine Floral Co (whose work I absolutely adore) and guests were treated to the amazing sound of Rene Hugo’s pan flute as they mingled during cocktail hour. It was a pleasure working alongside a team of talented vendors and honoured to see Nina and Scott’s day featured on Real Weddings!

“Because I could watch you for a single minute and find a thousand
things I love about you.”

Candice and Mark are special to me. It’s a privilege to watch clients grow from being engaged, to married and beyond. I had the pleasure of photographing Candice and Mark’s wedding rehearsal a few summers ago and recently had the joy of documenting this new and amazing time in their life just weeks before their sweet baby boy arrived. As a lifestyle photographer, I love being able to document moments like these in a candid and natural way – one that’s a perfect reflection of who you are. Authentic moments, those little in-between looks or smiles, that say nothing but everything at the same time. Lifestyle photography is just that, everyday moments captured to be remembered forever. With beautiful Golden Ears as the backdrop, their maternity photos are some of my all time favourites; capturing their adoration for each other and the incredible love they already have for sweet baby Hudson.

“Always be on the lookout for wonder.”

There’s something special about snow at Christmastime, especially in Vancouver where it seems extra rare. The recent and long-lasting snow fall in Vancouver gave Alysha and Quaz the idea to embrace the beautiful snowy weather and head up to Grouse Mountain for their engagement photos. I was really excited to spend the afternoon with them in the snow, quickly trading my sandals for boots, after returning home from Hawaii only a couple of days before. Despite the absolutely frigid weather we shared plenty of laughs through shivers, chattering teeth and frozen fingers. Freezing weather or not, they looked amazing, with Alysha looking extra gorgeous thanks to my favourites girls from Babes about Beauty. Alysha and Quaz are two of the sweetest, most genuine people I’ve had the joy of getting to know and there’s really no one else I’d rather spend a frigid afternoon in the snow with. I couldn’t be more excited for them as they plan their destination wedding for this Fall; it’s been wonderful hearing their plans for an amazing tropical wedding come together. Alysha and Quaz, I wish you the most incredible wedding and life together, I can’t wait to follow along on your journey!
